My weather station
I am the owner of this website- a first of its kind on the web. It is my personal intellectual property. I have my own satellite system to receive these photos from Eumetsat and unique software to process it in various formats. I also have all the required licences from Eumetsat as well as from the authors of the software to put this on a website. I will update it daily, however it might happen at certain times that I can't. Acknowledgement is given to Eumetsat for all the data to receive and process the weather photos with my system. Please note: nobody is allowed to copy the photos and any other information on this website or to distribute it in any form without my personal permission- see additional rules and regulations regarding this website and copyright- at bottom of this section.
I am a retired professor in Agriculture and the previous dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the former Pretoria University of Technology. I also am a keen gardener( author of three books on gardening, more than 400 radio talks and many TV talks on gardening)-also an amateur weather enthusiast and a registered radio ham (ZS6KOB). I am also very much interested in photography- have a diploma in photography and awarded several national and international prizes.
